Bohannon - Stop & Go

  • Bohannon

    Stop & Go LP (1973)

    Dakar

Ranked #85 in the Soul Strut 200

Debut album from 70s dance music composer / percussionist.  This album is notable for having a much funkier, laid-back, soulful sound compared his later robotic, coked-up disco releases.  It contains the oft-sampled crate digger classic "Save their Souls" , the spiritually pleasing "Singing a song for my mother",  the low down nasty funk of "Happiness", and much more.  Stop & Go is a sample spotters paradise and an end to end burner to boot.
