Ranked #167 in the Soul Strut 200

Johnny Harris was a renown pop music arranger and composer in the 60s and 70s in both the UK and the US.  Besides working with the likes of Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey, he was an accomplished soundtrack composer for TV and for his own solo recordings on Warner Brothers.  This is his most sought after release and it's aimed to please fans of soundtrack funk, groovy easy listening,  and brit pop psychedelia.  Highlights include the heavily comped "Fragments of Fear,"  the flutastic percussive groover "Stepping Stones," and his moody instrumental interpretation of the Stones' "Paint it Black" that is bound to excite the most seasoned of beat diggers. Another great UK-only release!
