The album where Kanye West was on his way to full-fledged, critically acclaimed stardom (only to crash and burn years later).  West was always a highly controversial subject here on Soul Strut due to his emergence from crate digging indie hip hop producer to mainstream celebutaire.  My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy highlights the pitfalls of money of fame.  Its candid honesty and cutting edge production earned it high praise with a majority on this site, highlighted by this 15 page thread.  Obviously, it comes with a dose of haterade as well making for an interesting read (get yo' popcorn ready!)
