Ranked #48 in the Soul Strut 200

Along with Marva Whitney and Vicki Anderson, Lyn Collins enjoyed moderate success as part of the James Brown "funky diva" camp in the early 70s. Her debut, produced by James Brown for his People record label, contains several heavy funk cuts that fit nicely with J.B.s signature vibe.  The most notable being the indelible classic title cut which was later immortalized by Rob Base & DJ EZ Rock's 80s hip hop hit "It Takes Two."
