For those that don’t know much about Prestige Records, this should be a great intro into their catalog, it includes cuts from jazz greats like Charles Earland, Sonny Phillips, Sonny Stitt, Patrice Rushen, Boogaloo Joe Jones, Melvin Sparks and Brother Jug Ammons, and the line up of some of the players on these recordings is like a who’s who of jazz, think Bernard Purdie, Idris Muhammad and Candido just to name a few!
