i like his salsa picante stuff, in particular this one...



various tributes have been popping up all day and i've been constantly surprised to see how deep his credits run, from art blakey and cal tjader to rufus and prince.

Really sad news. I absolutely love the stuff he did with Prince in the 80's. Go listen to "Pink Cashmere".
