JEREMY STEIG - Legwork (1969)

Released on Solid State

Added Sunday, January 31, 2010

I don’t know what it was with Jeremy Steig and cheesy covers of him playing flute over women, but none of them looked good. Nevertheless, this is probably Steig’s most sought after album because of the opening Howlin For Judy with its flute line that was sampled by the Beastie Boys for Sure Shot. Also worth mentioning is the funky Alias (a li’as) with a nice drum break beginning.
