You can feed a mini-jack from your mixer (RCA --> mini-jack "Y" adapter) into the microphone port on your Mac and then use something like Reaper (if you want multitracks) or Sound Studio 3 (if you don't).
Don't believe the hype that the mic jack is a shitty way to go: most Macs have stereo input and I've digitized from vinyl via the mic jack and via a USB box and it is identical to your ears.

thanks for the info manny, i know that the mic jack is money thats the route i was gonna go, but thanks for confirming this. i took a look at sound studio 3 and its $80. can you do this on garageband? or any other freeware? or is plopping down moola the only good move to make?
thanks in advance arti
