Very west coast and kinda jammy along the lines of early Dead. Still, has it's own identity and is certainly a cool album.

It's also a really rare LP that wasn't ever sold commercially...I've heard 500 were pressed but those numbers that float around are always hazy and to be taken with a grain of salt.

The jams are a little deeper than most of the other records of this type, and just better all around. One of several worthwhile Phil Pearlman projects, who is also known as the father of Adam 'Jihad' Gadahn.

The artist behind the RCR, Phil Pearlman, has copies as well as copies of his other LP's "Beat Of The Earth" and "The Electronic Hole". Dude lives on a goat farm in California with no phone. He had been selling his LP's to one or two people, limiting them to a few copies a year, however, he is now under constant surveilance by the Feds/CIA since his son, Adam Gadahn(Pearlamn)joined Al-Qaeda. I've known Phil for almost 20 years and his music career started back in the early 60's when he released a surf 45 by "Phil & The Flakes"....he was a "Beatnick" that evolved into "Hippie" and is the gentlest soul you'll ever meet.

What does "Beat of the Earth" sound like?

I used to hang out at the UC Irvine radio station quite a bit growing up. Nowadays I can't help but wonder how many copies of Beat Of The Earth & Electronic Hole must have been chilling in the station library back then.
