Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
Of all the great releases from this legendary instrumental group, their final release ,1970's Melting Pot, is considered the most pertinent to Soul Strut. It introduced a jammier, funkier FM sound that Booker T. ended up despising, causing him to leave the group. It also features the classic b-boy title track that would become a soundtrack to many block parties and sample fodder for golden era 'fast rap".
