Pulled this from an old recording dated Feb 18, 2009. Female funk/soul, high-pitched vocal, semi-polished band w/ horns & rhythm section.

Hook lyric sounds like: “Would you look at the clock, it’s ticking away.”

Already ruled out: Gloria Walker – “Time Is Running Out.”

Other suspects: Delores Ealy, Pearl Dowell, Shirley Wahls, or possibly an un-ID’d private press 45 that made the blog rounds in 2009.
