Devil Mcdoom just brought this to my attention:http://www.juno.co.uk/products/286550-01.htmcheck out the second track. totally ripped my "chicago"...straight jacked! oh well. i sampled stuff to make that sample. goes round in circles i suppose.
drums and bass from the intro of chicago, i mean a fairly simple chop, but its the same thing. have you heard the track im speaking of?Dude. Sue those mu'fuckaz.
Hang on - what exactly did this jazzman 12" sample from your release? I am confused.
yeah its cool. never said i was mad. maybe flattered?Be proud! I think what they did with it is nice too.
yeah, i mean its not like im going to do anything anyway. even if they sampled some huge melodic chunk, what could i do? i sampled stuff to make my thing anyway. thats just how it works with this shit.I had to listen to the two together but it sounds like it. So A-Ko. You're saying you chopped the beat and added the the bass stabs? If so it sounds like a bite. If the bass stabs are on the original break, I'd have to do more analyzing before I would go either way.

bass stabs are definitely same ones i used, same pattern with the exact same drum chops. bass stabs and drums are from 2 completely unrelated records. odds are 1 in a million that they happened to chop the drums identically, sample the same bass stab, pitch it up and down in the same pattern i did from the same 45 i did and then use it under a song where it doesnt exactly sound natural, at all...but works regardless.Yea DJ A-Trak did that to one of our radiohead breaks that panzah made. He straight took our version and then added an additional drum layer on top... then threw a lil scrappy accapella on top. Like... We weren't tripping, but its frustrating when people straight take your edits of things. And what can we do.... HEY... You stole our stolen song!
I donno tho man. This one is a close call. The bass stabs are from a different song? in the drum break? Or in a later part in the song? Your version is doper to me anywho.
Its like robbing a drug dealer... what you gonna do? call the cops.
Its all good tho.

If it were me, I don't think I'd be too mad depending on what it was and how it was done, but still, that shit is pretty weak.im not too mad since its the simplest part of the song. the thing that bothers me is people apparently not being able to recognize how blatant it is!
