Latin thread?

Hey SoulStrut,

This is Jesse Futerman (superpoaster), now a 30 something adult who looks back on his times getting clowned by all members in this group immensely fondly!!

Ive become very interested in latin, latin jazz, boogaloo and Im looking for recommendations. Anything like OCHO/Palmeiri/EddieCano etc.

lol no way! wb superpoaster. I also am into boogaloo & related but strictly as a dilettante, not a lot of deep knowledge. I basically just listen to DJ mixes from people who know more than me and follow reissue labels like Vampisoul

It is I, the man who was once a boy who was absolutely SONNED to the high heavens on this here forum! Good shout for Vampisoul, Im trying to grab some originals at the moment but there is no shame in the re-issue game, especially as record prices increase by the hour haha.

All of Eddie's Harlem River Drive albums are great. My intro to this stuff was the Nu Yorica! comp bitd - great collection that will point you in a few directions.
