& The Mandingo Band hails out of Bobo Dioulasso, Burkina Faso! Their leader, Mamadou Sanou aka Baba Commandant,
a well respected punk Faso Dan Fani activist for traditional Mandigo music, is usually
playing with the famous Victor Démé. With his own
Mandingo Band, he plays the Juguya-sound,
an Afrobeat style inspired by legends like Fela Kuti or Moussa Doumbia.
Within the clubs
rather short time of existence of only one and a half years, we were able to
host such acts as Ebo Talyor & Afrobeat Academy, Konono N°1, Onom Agemo, Karl
Hector & The Malcouns. Once again Kaschemme Bar/Klub, Konzeptlos and this
time together with Klappfon, are very happy and a bit proud to announce another
jewel in the great series of African music concerts.
Doors open at 8pm. Our
man Fumey Toublou Rodrigo prepares a spicy African soup, Konzeptlos & DJ
Pun playing dusty, crackling African sounds before and after the concert. What
