This'll just be a race to list "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" by Philip K Dick, OST by Vangelis, and "Bladerunner" by Kubrick.

"Bladerunner" by Kubrick.

I'll go with "Virgin Suicides"

The book, film and soundtrack all stand on their own for me.

I thought about "The Spook Who Sat By the Door," but I've actually never seen the movie.

The movie and the book both feel a little off-kilter at times but make up for it with a lot of righteous anger.

I'm thinking Clockwork Orange is an obvious choice for this thread.

Jesus' Son is my usual pick for a recent film that holds its own w/ the book, and as I recall there are some good song choices on the soundtrack, although I can't remember the score at all and suppose since it was made in the last 10 years it is likely not so good..

never read the book, but that movie was pretty

(Elevator to the Gallows). Soundtrack is fire though...

i'm having a hard time thinking of a true hat trick. Good thread though. there's gotta be more...

A few of Melvin van Peebles' films were novels (written by him to secure funding for the films) first, but I can't recall which ones other than Story of a 3-Day Pass.
