"Spacing Out" is a 1970 ultra-rare Psychedelic Funk album by The Invaders. The album is now much sought-after with original copies on Duane Records label selling for up to $1000.

The band was formed in Bermuda and the LP, along with a couple 45s, were released in Bermuda and the US. One of the best instrumental funk albums ever recorded with funky percussions and flute, a nice Latin touch and psychedelic echo-sounds. Includes two versions of the Isley Brothers "It's Your Thing", Temptations' "Can't Get Next To You" and a version of the Meters' "Look A Py Py".

Great record. Happy to recently upgrade from mp3 to vinyl boot.


Looking forward to the final upgrade sometime in the future at which point I can release the boot to ebay with a vague description and see what happens.

I once saw an ad in a 1970s Finnish music magazine of a record shop blowout sale. A list of basic rock records included the Invaders LP being sold for the equivalent of ca. 1$.
