2026 is the 40th anniversary of the Ultimate Breaks & Breaks compilations. The albums were polarising but the content also introduced crate digging & sampling culture to a global audience. If anyone is doing any tributes please provide information , links etc.

I will be doing tributes , critique & comparing production workflows from past decades on a new channel.

LENNY ROBERTS sourced all the joints and originated the concept on his own
danny dan the beatman helped and rode with lenny hipping him to joints that were popping off at parties
someone else was later hired to do edits that were you know.....

You need to edit your post . Luis Flores aka Break Beat. Lou & Lenny Roberts were Ultimate Breaks & beats , Street Beat records & Octopus records . Danny Dan the beat man was Dusty fingers & active on many sub forums. Danny passed away on April 3rd.

The content on the Ultimate breaks & beats had a party atmosphere & the earlier editions revealed all the material from the disco rap events & tape era 1977 - 1983. They are more tonally consistent & cohesive for a dj. Dusty fingers was in the nineties & explored more genres regions & continents.They convey & reflect what someone from an unknown region would be exposed to from a listening & sampling perspective.

Break beat Lou talks about him & Lenny doing 90 per cent of the records. You have not acknowledged or credited Luis Flores. Who also did many of the seamless tape loops & edits which inspired many classic eg Lyn Collins - Think
