Mingering Mike - an IMAGINARY record collection?!

I have to agree with everyone here that this is an amazing folk-art find. Stylistically amateur but really on target for the kind of thing people are collecting nowadays. For some reason it reminds of me of Chicago artist Henry Darger. Oliver is right. Your top priority now is...

The main DJ who asked me to do the show told me he would send me mp3s someday next week. I'll try to post it online once I get them.

Indiana Music Retrospective: Soul, Funk, and Garage from the Hoosier Heartland

Many of you know that I have been collecting 45 rpm records by obscure Indiana artists for the past 10 years. This Thursday, from 9 p.m. until midnight (Eastern Standard Time) some of this music will be featured on a very special three hour retrospective of Indiana music on WXYC in Chapel Hill...

Unbelievable digs that you DID pick up that deserve to be bragged about.

Just bought a mint promo of first Chocolate Watch Band record for $10. When I used to live in Indianapolis I would find a Highlighters Band record almost every 2-3 weeks during the prime digging season. I doubt I ever paid more than $1. Wooden Glass sealed for $10. I could go on and on for days.

Europestrut - taking turntables to Europe?

I am moving to Geneva, Switzerland in a few months and I am trying to figure out if my turntable will work there with only a plug adapter. Will I also need a voltage converter? If I didn't use conversion would the speeds be off?Travelling DJs must know the answer. What about an electric...

    Poly Outer Bags?

I buy these from Bags Unlimited. http://www.bagsunlimited.com/cart/detail.asp?cat=2&subcat=28&product_id=s7jhhd I will confirm. Those are the best jammies to wrap your prized 45s in. I triple-bag my raers with regular white sleeve inside heavy cardboard sleeves inside polyvinyl sleeve.
