oh man this is sooooo good, i know this from somewhere though and i cant remember where, ugh i hate that shit, lol (when you cant recall where you’ve heard something) pretty sure its on a mix i downloaded from here.

*i must admit that since i joined this site, most of the dopest music i have ever heard came from mentions on here or mixes people posted. the appreciation is real!

Brainfreeze (or Product Placement) intro beat with some vocal scratching about ‘what is soul music’ etc.

It's definitely out of Dallas, Texas, as this is my grandfather's music. My family can confirm this.

we need more info!!Crazy I was just looking into this record again today and here it is on a post brought back from the dead on a forum i thought was dead.

Same here I'm trying to find as much information as possible. I never met him though, he passed when I was a youngin' but my aunt says we have the same birthday and apparently I seem to have took on the musical genes. The only thing I have is a photo of him. The studio where they laid that down is now closed in Dallas, I believe, which was going to be next step in getting that information.

Same studio where Cleo McNett recorded. Former location demolished, it seems, to make way for a strip mall with a Vietnamese restaurant and a liquor store.I like researching the histories of old, abandoned or now non-existent buildings.

Nice, I wasn't even aware of that but after some research I see that they did. There's so much history....
