Let me know if you end up making it Mac-compatible. I have a good Point Of Sale database at my shop, but would be interested in something even more specifically tailored. We're on Macs, though.
It will not be Mac-compatible but I was told there is an solution to run PC programs on Mac OS. You need Virtual-PC for Mac OS so you can run the MS Access Runtime which will be installed with the program. No MS Office needed. That's all I know about it.
