* M I D W E E K E R Y *

There's a time and place for TimmyD. Perhaps at a dusty thrift in Bridgeport or Pistol Wavin' New Haven stacked to the ceiling with CTI joints. But not with me and the KwameReggaeGoodChoon, so zip it!

K,

Kwame's album is Follow I.Full name Kwame Heshimu. My favorite tune on here is "Family Affair". He plays with Winston Gardner, Mikey Ranglin, and Ronald "Boogzie" Morris (the names that ring a bell).

Peace

Rico - Man From Wareika (Blue Note)

Yikes. I've been after this for a while. Story/deal for headz plaese
It's excellent--Island licensed it to Blue Note for the American release. Shouldn't be tough to find; most stores don't know what to do with it, and I think I pulled my copy off of GEMM for ~$5 a few years ago. The extended 12" versions of some of the cuts that Island put out do go for a little money, though.

Did you listen before purchasing?
I don't like this record very much.

It was priced below market value.
I think the word may have gotten out on that one; after making several attempts to trade/sell my copy, I finally gave it to Terry_Clubbup, who reported back that he found it too "challenging" to listen to.

HIP! NOTICK! MYOOOOOOOZICK!

It's got some nice samples on it. I would definitely fuck with it for beats.

I've listen to it 4 times already...Neville was say the same thing how it didn't meet his expectations. I like it a lot. Definitely not comparable to Plunky's albums but still great to my ears.

what is market value on this one? and is it really that bad? I've seen it around but always at a price ($30+) that I wasn't willing to pay for an album I had never heard.

Anyone got a Barrino Brothers LP for me?

Om seems to have sold one for $57 but one recently went unbid at $19.

$30-40?
I've seen it go unbid for as low as $10... which is why I ended up giving mine away. TSL prices it at $30.

There's an instrumental called "Sunday Morning People" or something like that that's kind of cool, though... and I like the cover.

The New York Jazz Quartet- In concert in Japan (solid straight-ahead jazz from '72, nice cover too; 2 bucks)
