Web dudez--Virtual Cart/Shop? Best/Most current option???

Never did a cart site...Loving Zen Cart on surface, but want confirmation. Not trying to waste time...Need a small web store + Paypal cart...Google is sending me in so many directions. Don't need templates.

Do I do these hosted things, or just go open source...Want full control over design with "store" integrated, and these more commercial things seem way pre-formatted for shoobies. Not concerned with learning it or adapting. Pls help...

I use X-Cart for my day job and Foxycart for Soul Strut. Both get the job done, but I wouldn't really recommend them.

stay away from Cubecart. AWFUL!
