Visited a house filled with 45's (most store stock) today - bought about 1000 pieces.

those pics look like a bunch of question marks in squares...anything good k? do you ever have time to listen to the records you buy every day!?

Pa*****,

Where do think I'm rushing after purchasing these records? Straight home! It's akin to a crack score (albeit, a little better for you). I've been at home working on my list all day and have only been without tunes while eating lunch and dinner.

K.

P.S. You can't see the pics? PRetty clear to me.

Yo, I gotta follow up and say, I just got around to playing this record, and it is pretty damn smokin'!! Some super funky afro-latin sounds from Motown '74. Best thing I copped this weekend, although the Eddie Kendricks is def on point.

[Tuff_Gong]

Nothing Earth shattering at all... But anyhow:

Ohio Players - Greatest Hits (Westbound)
Beat Street Soundtrack
Joe Pass - Virtuoso
Deniece Williams - This Is Niecy
UTFO - UTFO
Honey Cone - Sweet Replies
The 2 Live Crew - We Want Some Pussy 12"
Norman Connors - You Are My Starship

I was real happy to come across that Norman Connors...hadn't run across it before, and only a couple bucks? Yes please. The creator has a master plan indeed.

Great 45. DOn't hear too many talking about it, but I've surprised a few people when playing it to them.

Any chance of trading something to you for the Vibrettes & York Wilburn 45s?
I will see if I can find some punk, but what else you looking for? Hit me with a PM if interested in working something out.

The above quote was in reference to the cropped "Melting Pot" 45 sitting in the background of the Frank Williams 45. Yeah, I love this tune - there was a wack of these found in Toronto a couple years back.

I'm not really sourcing out US funk 45's, although when I buy a collction like a did yesterday I'm always happy. Mainly looking for African press funk/afrobeat/afrolatin, South American-based Boogaloo, middle-eastern sounding ska (both vocal and instrumental), genesis era rap 12's and deep disco, NY/BK roots reggae, and any reggae soul covers I don't have...and obviously Canadian stuff, but I probably have a better chance than you at that.

Hope That Helps, K.

[DIGGADIGGA]

Took a road trip upstate to this spot that has piles and piles of vinyl, but lots and lots of junk, and everything is always at least 25 percent more than you want to pay...still, got some goodies:

One really good find that I can't even find a jpeg for is:

Eddie Kendricks - All By Myself - Tamla 1971
and also got
Harvey Mandel - Games People Play - Philips
and a couple of 45's:
Wendy & Bonnie - What's Really Happening - Skye
The American Breed - Short Skirts - Atca

...the little one in the middle is Kannibal Komix, some crazed proto-glam from Germany (and one Italian) on the Colossus label, the gatefold cover is a naked chick in a cape on a horse, holding a human skull in front of her, um, mid-section...

trammps baby cant go wrong you gotta "LOVE IT"
