OK this is driving me crazy. I have stuck in my head somebody who sounds like Rufus Thomas singing "keep on singin' keep on singin'". I'm pretty sure it is from an uptempo early 90s hip hop song. And it's like a breakdown in the middle of the song or something. PLAESE HELP MEEEEEEE

That's highly likely. I rode hard for that album in the 8th grade. Some of those beats still hold up. I got the knack is dope (instrumentally speaking of course). Respect to everlast, his career lasted way longer than anyone would have probably predicted.
