    Blacks And Blues LP (1973)

    Blue Note

Funky flute legend Bobbi Humphrey ‎had all the right ingredients for a mid 70s jazz funk masterpiece: Blue Note session players ✓, magically warm pimped out production and arrangements by the much hailed Mizell brothers ✓, the year 1973 ✓.  This is a crate staple for fans of jazz funk fusion and the legendary hip hop samples that proceeded them especially on cuts like "Jasper Country Man" and the title cut.  Check out her 1974 Satin Doll album as well for more Mizell Madness.
