Boogie Tracks

P.S. Do a search for "boogie" on this site, we've talked about this at length.
But did anyone agree on what "Boogie" really was?

ha! never that.. the convo usually degrades into dividing boogie into 10 new subcategories and someone saying, 'that's not boogie, that's more like modern disco'

seriously though, the search function will yield many many results

The people that were around when it was going on know the deal.

But anyways, sho nuf... Some great boogie has been talked about on here! Some wicked mixes 2 boot!

I was really into this style before I got more into funk and jazz (still like it though), too many favorites come to mind, best track in the genre though in my opinion:

What's up? I could start a HUGE LONG LIST but a lot of the stuff may be difficult to find. Where do you live? Are you on Soulseek? If not, you need to get on Soulseek. First thing you need to do right away is get Jake One's AR Music mix CDs volume 1-4. You will love these. You can order them here:

Labels to look for:

Salsoul

^^ Ha... bored at work.. Sold many Atmosphere albums today?

Nah, thats my fave Bro Johnson's LP & not because it has 'Stomp' on it.
QJ did a fair amount of their stuff.
Probably most well know for their version of Shuggie Otis's 'Strawberry Love Letter' & obviously 'Stomp'.

Yeah thats all thats selling...
Reminds me of a punk album the whole package, with the cover and the energy of the tracks.
Thanks for all the help i've got some research to do now! ha ha

^^^ Yeah, but they've been used already... Some of us wankers need to express ourselves with artistic flair every once in a while.
Saying 'Nice Songs' just doesn't really hit the spot for me...

I did want to write, 'Totally Def n' Stupid Dope' but the fellas thought I was trippin' over my fat laces again.
