Possibly of interest to the producers and beat diggers here... I was reading the following blog post which discusses a project that puts together a graphic notation for twenty classic breaks:

I want to make a book about drumming that looks good. A funky beat is a great design. Some great designers:

Bernard Purdie
James Gadson
Herman Roscoe Ernerst III
Zigaboo
Roger Hawkins
Clyde Stubblefield

it looks nice but even if its representing midi data say, i feel like its missing a lot that traditional scores might capture a little better.





is it not intended to be used as a true "score" and more as a coffee table piece?
