i used to come up in there in '95 for the 5 months i was in portland. archie whitewater 4 dollar joints for days
when i went back in around 2002 i couldnt find a single record worth buying. the dude was getting crazy exasperated with my presence, saying "hey, dont put the albums back that you pull out...i'll put them back." umm,ok. i found one of those portland bigband vol2 breaks in an unmarked bin and i said "how much?" and he says in a huff "if you leave you can have it!!!" LOL. f*ckin dick.

Was it a guy in his thirties with dark hair? That dude was a dick to everyone. T**ga and I once bumped into him at a strip club and T was like, "What's up, aren't you the guy from Sonic Recollections?" The guy just shot him a look like he wanted to kill him.

back in the day there was this young guy who looked like he was from star trek world, but he was real cool. he'd say "theres something in the new arrival bins for you" id find a good record and hed say "yup. good job" i could never figure out if he would have said that about anything i pulled out or not. but he was a nice guy.
i learned a hell of a lot about records in portland. jj's $1.25 records, ripcity, ofcourse crossroads...and dan at jumpjump taught me a lot and is the man. then theres the chain that has a couple locations...still open.

LOL... what was the issue, exactly? He had it listed for a few days with a $5.99 start price with no buy-it-now--then he threw on a $10.99 BIN because I think he priced it off of a reissue. I scooped it quick and posted the link here as a joke. I think someone who was watching it (or someone here!) ratted on me and told him it was worth $200, so he tried to sell it to me for $50 after I had already paid. Then he canceled the transaction, so I blasted him with a neg and an offer to Sell outside of eBay at a higher price complaint. Now he's one in the hole. Comedy.
