Double Drummers...Is this ever a good idea?

This album is Dale & Buzzo w/ the two dudes from Big Business on bass and extra drums. 100% synchronized, though they weren't always hitting the exact same drums, just in the same rhythm, even for the fills.
Yeah, forgot about this one (and it just came out last year). The one time where the two drums really did make a difference to me was on this album...

Fugazi does the 2 drummers thing now... doesnt bother me.
Huh? I didnt even think Fugazi was around anymore. they're not??? doh. last time i saw them, they had 2 drummers.

love this album. but to be fair, its actually two entire quartets playing at once. one in each stereo channel.

I cosign with a bunch of the other good double drummer references, particularly JB band. obviously though, theres no shortage of wack usage as well.

The Melvins/Big Business lineup was indeed pretty amazing. Crushing, synchronized drum patterns...including some drum-only sections (not solos). Live show was great fun.

really fucking good idea when excuted properly. the most intense bands ive ever seen live were the ones with 2 drummers

The Dirtbombs been doin' that shit right right for a while now -- not
as talented as EYE and Yoshimi, but really fun live.
The Dirtbombs stuff gives me a headache because it is two really mediocre drummers who cant keep time for shit....

just one rock snobs opinion, BTW
