The "original" is out there and when you listen to it, Hancock's incorporation of it is quite obvious.<b, 21<b, 21I'm not sure it was a "colonialist adaptation" originally or an actual field recording; I always thought it was the latter but I could be wrong.

<font class="post"1<b, 21<b, 21Yeah, I'm serious and that's what it comes across as for me. Props to the dude for doing his thing, I just don't care for it at all. I like a more metered beat, with some finesse. I'm not into that style of wild drumming whether its with MP_s or real drums.<b, 21<b, 21*I just watched that video for the fourth time, I'm still not feeling it. I'm not hating, but I'm not into stuff that capitalizes on note repeat, and banging on the box.
