Headphones 4 Monitoring

Been using the Sony MDR-V600 for the past 4 years, and now I wanna kinda step it up a little bit. They're cool, but the midrange is a little bothersome. What's next?Sennheiser?Beyerdynamics?AKGs?

My Beyerdynamics DT 770's have been cool. Nothing fancy, but real solid. And the fact that they're closed headphones is an extra for headphones of this type.

I use Sennheiser HD600. They're great, very good clarity and detail. NIce bass too.

Get out there and test drive, from $20 to whatver you want to spend. Each to their own on this one.....your acoustics are gonna be different to mine.
