It's a skill testing machine (just like the ones to get stuffed toys) to see how many fish you can catch. They used to have them in Japan too until people complained that it was cruel. They're only goldfish, I know, but they are locked up in 100 Farheinheit summer weather in that machine on the street. The little plate goes down and you can see how many fish u can catch and then it dumps them in the jar on the left hand side of the machine. I think you can take the jar out and keep the fish, but I think lots of kids used to just pour the fish onto the sidewalk or something???
Exactly how does this work??
And why, pray tell, is it "cruel"?
