New Music / Release Thread

What the hell is this? The melody (cleverly hidden beneath all of this) sounds familiar as fuck - like something from an '80s John Hughes film:

That synth line.....

The new Burial has got lots of hate but I personally find it a nice bit of work. It's not going to blaze a new trail but it's fun.

The new Twin Peaks has basically got me on a Johnny Jewel feeding frenzy. Especially since I discovered he sells all his albums on Italians Do It Better for $1 a go.

This just arrived and I'm liking it. Apparently Estonia has instrumental funk/soundtrack chops

I really like this; very, very authentic sounding, but I almost feel that bands should do something a bit new, like the dudes who played C.R.E.A.M./hip-hop covers.

New compilation from the Sound Gems roster! It's a nonstop groove party of Philly Soul with classic artists like William Devaughn (Diamond in the Back) and new talent such as Aliah Sheffield! Groove junkies, give this a spin.

Yussef Kamaal. Banger from last year, Kaidi put us onto it.

Hmmm, another Aphex Twin alias? If not, heavily indebted to his sound and his use of weird track titles with square brackets:

...and speaking of sound-alikes, this guy does a very good Floating Points impression:

that Shelley Mann sample Premier first used (and the rest of the LP is so lame :WHYMUSTICRY: )

(this will go over many of your heads)

The new King Gizzard is solid. The local shop was playing it over the speakers this weekend and I grabbed the last LP copy they had.

The King Krule album is really good, and so is Beach House 3.

Well, there's a new Dipset track produced by Heatmakerz and it's really good. Media outlets everywhere (incl Pitchfork) are playing themselves by not highlighting Juelz (https://pitchfork.com/news/the-diplomats-return-with-new-song-listen/?mbid=homepage-more-latest-and-video).

New Cam tape too, which is pretty great for this late era. Reminiscent of Crime Pays.

This sounds amazing. Vinyl only :'(

Loving that 8 bit version!

Yeah I thought I was done with the whole 8 bit cover stuff but this is genuinely great! Stands proudly on its own two feet.
