<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121MTV has been giving him a huge push - it's funny imagining The Hills fans actually running out to cop that though.

Rap-a-Lot's website is advertising a Scarface album for December... they're also claiming Hurricane Chris as one of their artists?!

Went by my local shop (downtown Reckless, Chicago) and didn't see LP copies of PUTS or Murs, sadly. Maybe they were sold out or just weren't stocked. Did manage to pick up the new TV On The Radio, which was only OK on the first listen.

The PUTS vinyl isn't out till the end of the month. It's part of the evil plan to make me buy two copies, because I can't wait till then for the vinyl, but I'll but it anyway cos I'm a sucker for the black stuff.<b,121<b,121I thought the new TV On The Radio album was average to begin with as well, but give it some time. It's a grower.

Yeah, that's what I figured with TV On The Radio. Some great moments first run through but wasn't incredible -- however, most of my favorite records took some time to sink in. It was a nice release for them though -- 180 gram vinyl, gatefold, free MP3 download. I can get with that format all day, every day. <b,121<b,121I guess I'll have to wait for the PUTS record.

My thoughts exactly. The first track was amazing, and the next two were really good, but then after that I wasn't feeling it at all. It's definitely not as strong as Cookie Mountain, but it's grown on me a lot since the first listen. <b,121<b,121Damn, living in the UK means I have to wait for the Dear Science vinyl release (again)! Sick of this shit.

<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121Does this really merit an exclamation mark?

Yo I copped the two copies of Fun DMC at Streetlight and gave one to the homie on the strength of him promising to buy the album for another friend. I really find this works even with people who don't normally pay for music - if it's a gift they're a bit more generous with their money.

i'm halfway through FUN DMC and it's a good album. I can tell Thes has been going on a very unorthodox direction production wise since "Stepfather" and i'm feeling it (Party Enemy #1).<b,121<b,121That track about the UBB was dope (She'll Blow Your Head And call you mr magic) and that track about you dudes go to a house party and acting like dicks had me dying. The "getting pissy like R Kelly" line made me laugh out loud. Lord knows the last time I intentionally laughed at a rap song.

<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121What do you think of the second half? First 13 tracks were pure gold I thought, but their were a couple of ones towards the end that I really wasn't feeling.

What's up with the James Blunt samples though? NAGL!
Freeway used this same beat for yesterday's Month Of Madness track.

I like both Murs' and Free's version, but then again, I've never heard the OG James Blunt song.

Truth be told, I thought James Blunt was a rapper just based off his name alone. (I suppose that's a lil' rappist on my part.)
