Port Charlotte, Ardnamurchan, Bhunnahabien, Bladnoc, Ledaig… indie bottlings too. Haven’t bought a bourbon in 8 years or more, all about that Scotch.
Now you're talking. Im more an Edradour, Glen Garioch, Mortlach, Glenallachie type but fuck me if this years Kilkerrans haven't blown my knickers right off. That opened the door to Bunnahabhains & Benromachs which are currently kicking my arse.Im all >46% NCF etc so have been loving the Bunna CS's and all the indie Bunnas as well - plus I managed to hit a run of indie sherry monsters as well I stocked up just before the prices went batshit too.
Kilkerran: the8yr Sherry cask is the pick of the bunch for me (peat + sherry is usually a great combo). I'm not a massive fan of the Speyside profile, and Glenallachie isn't quite there for me (yet - Walker's own distillate isn't due for a few years, had a Miekle Tor and enjoyed that though). I had some Glenallachie 15 and it was sweet, cinnamon... not many "whisky" notes, and I wondered if I'd be able to spot it in a flight of premium rums!I reckon this would be up your alley: https://www.slijterijvonk.nl/nl/the-single-malts-of-scotland-ben-nevis-10-years-ol.html?srsltid=AfmBOor4__3Pf4SdRK21jCsqER7G53mh3BFLv-4SVLA8wVOVGu529NsWChristmas in a glass.
