Silvio Rodriguez y Noel Nicola - "Republica Dominicana"Couldn't find anything about this record...According to the Silvio Rodriguez' discogs i looked at, his 1st album is Dias Y Flores (1975). This is a live performance at the First International Festival of Protest Music in the Dominican Republic, dated November 1974. It's on Americanto, no serials other than Lado A/Lado B in the runout. Also has the original pamphlet from the festival.also this:

thanks!

Some sketchy guy had a copy of that Republic Dominicana or whatever (I think) on eBay recently. For some reason I was watching the auction. It sounded interesting. He didn't have a picture and it went unsold for cheap.

Looks like a pretty cool find regardless of price.

The Silvio Rodriguez record might be rare but it is not sought after to my knowledge. Silvio and Roy Brown (from a finds thread I think ) are wannabe Bob Dylan protest folkies with a lot of yawn going for them. Quilayapun is pretty common in Latin America and I've had a hard time getting rid of any and all of their records. Sorry.

, the silvio rodriguez is still a pretty solid listen... and the quilapayun is a pretty tight package, complete with a hand-stitched book... in any case, it'd be somewhat paradoxical if these albums, dedicated to the construction of socialism, had become sought-after commodities among the American elite.
