Quote:</font1<h,121<b,121<b,121Christ, where to start on this topic.....Philly is goldmine for hip hop records from the late 80s/early 90s that never got their day in the sun.<b,121<b,121some stuff thats getting heavy rotation here lately.<b,121<b,121<b,121Kool Kev(The Lyrical Stinger) - My Experience (unfortunately damn near impossible to find)<b,121Izod & Bizzy Bee - I Got the Juice/I Aint Taken No Stuff<b,121MAC 10 - Soul On A Roll (nice 12" from Detroit)<b,121Funke Natives - Small Talk on 125th Street<b,121J Rock - Streetwize LP<b,121Twinz of Spin - Just Gettin Busy (from Cleveland I think, well worth tracking down though)<b,121D Moet & Excalibur - Dance to Excalibur <b,121<b,121<h,121[/quote]<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121Let's get this party started...<b,121<b,121I cleaned out a DJ from Philly that was in the record game when hiphop started. He had tons of good stuff including private Philly stuff. Just to add a little to the Philly list...<b,121<b,121Sha'Dascious<b,121Legion of Doom<b,1212 Kannon<b,121Divine Beings<b,121<b,121I actually have doubles of the 2 Kannon and Divine Beings if anyone is interested. Absolutely AWESOME tracks...what hiphop should be. I've been thinking of throwin a mixtape together and would definitely like to collab with some peeps... If not...just to discuss records.<b,121<b,121<b,121Best advice about 'random rap' ...wait. I had been after a record, Poetic Menace, from Detroit for a long time and kept being the second highest bidder on numerous auctions, dropping bids at $300+. After a couple went on ebay...I finally copped a copy at $140. The random rap market is just...well...random...

Quote:Quote:<font class="post"1<b,121<b,121I have heard good things about this record but have yet to listen to it. You know of any place where I can gets a listen? Thus far that Legion of Doom group has been the best Philly hiphop in my opinion, but that 2 Kannon single is bonkers as well.<b,121<b,121Looking forward to this maocontent. I will be listening to it on the car ride/traffic jam back home from work.
