Strange Games and Funky Things 5 - Mix by DJ Spinna by MemeMagazine

I was a big fan of Spinna's first mix for Strange Games & Funky Things, and this one looks to be of a similar calibre... psychedelic soul sounds from the '70s:

01. Ned Doheny - Get It Up for Love
02. Sylvia - Sweet Stuff
03. The Ambassadors - I Ain't Got The Love (Of One Girl On My Mind)
04. Richard Evans feat. Linda Williams - Capricorn Rising
05. Starvue - Body Fusion
06. Sylvia St James - Motherland
07. The Soul Searchers - Ashley's Roachclip
08. Willie Hale - Groove On
09. Eddy Senay - Cameo
10. SSO - Faded Lady
11. Cal Tjader - Morning
12. Francisco Aguabella - Ramon's Desire
13. The Philly Armada Orchestra - For The Love Of Money
14. Family Tree feat. Sharon Brown - Family Tree
15. The Perfect Circle - The Hands Of Time
16. WAR - War Is Coming, War Is Coming
17. Hiroshi Fukumura - Hunt Up Wind
18. Wood Brass And Steel - Always There
19. C.K. Mann & His Carousel 7 - Asafo Beesuon / Obaa Yaa Aye Me Bone (Medley) Edit
2! 0. Merry Clayton - Gimme Shelter
21. Bill Summers - Bra! zilian S kies

Yesterday I was looking for a download-link quite a while without finding one. I would be most happy if somebody could prove my researching skills wrong and submit a link.

My computer doesn't recognize the file as an mp3. I changed name and suffix but still it's displayed as textfile. Same problem with somebody else or is it just me?

did the same to me.

i changed it to mp3 and it works now. im currently listening.

Nice one!

That Ned Doheny is stellar. Had no idea that the Tata Vega was not the original of that song. So well done.

Ned Doheny is AOR West Coast heat...

Often used a lot on chill mixes, as the track is now classed as a 'Classic Balearic' tune. Great end of night track to slow things down, but in a deep way, before sending them folks home.

If you're enjoying this mix you might also like this one by Berlins Sygaire (1/6 of Jazzanova). I was playing this one out quiet a bit in the last weeks.

MODERN SOUL DJ-Mix by SYGAIRE for BLACK PEARL RECORDS by SYGAIRE

The tune starting at 3:55 is so :face_melt:ing.

A medley of "Love to Love You Baby" and "Can't Hide Love" done by Dionne Warwicke and the SFB Bigband led by Paul Kuhn.

:next_level:

Sygaire has posted here before, he was offloading doubles. I ride for that "Got To Be There" 12 he had out a while back; he even had the "saaahf landon" (South London) twang down pat.

He's not from Essex is he? :)
