In the event that Roe vs. Wade would get overturned, can states make it illegal to go out of state to get an abortion? Or prosecute a doctor who lives in state but performs abortions out of state?

There is an argument to be made that the "penumbras and emanations" of the Constitution don't actually afford a right to abortion. That's not at all the same thing as saying that the act itself is unconstitutional.

My comparison was about the passing of laws perceived as constitutional by some yet unconstitutional by others.

You don't think that originalists view the passing of Roe as unconstitutional?

I thought Rock a libertarian? I'm surprised he'd go "wow" over the idea that abortion should ultimately reside with, you know, the pregnant person.

I agree that the decision should lie with the woman....like I said I'm pro-choice.

But I would hope the pregnant woman(not child) was of sound mind and made the decision somewhat earlier then say the 8th month.


And I do think that legal abortion should have some regulations, as they do today.

I wish liberals would just admit to hating the constitution. Your philosophy is anchored by the idea that the state should be employed to hammer society into this shape and that, an idea the constitution was developed to prevent. Given this it is understandable why you would hate it.

I know you feel cowed by the symbolic power of the constitution in american politics, but id much rather you vent your animus freely than see you continuously lie about its contents and lie about those who enforce them. The lies I regularly hear and see told about judge thomas for example are incredibly viscious and do not even bother with the appearence of plasibility.
