More like this please.

Yeah thats the love is a hurting thing track we are talkin' aboot. Pretty Solid.

I have the EP tracks as Taylor, Recording 1 & Love is a Hurting Thing. Is Recording 1 a correct title anyone?

Yeah Gloria Taylor takes the cake. I remember Chris telling me about this as a "northern soul record with overdubbed disco drums" and I knew about the EP but didn't put two and two together. Heavily regret not buying a copy when I had the chance.

Thanks for posting the Patti Jo, I didn't know about the Moulton mix, just the 45.

Donna McGhee has got to be up there too.

OH f*cking SNAP... THE SIDE 2 JOINT, THATS WHERE JAZZANOVA GOT THEIR GROOVE FOR THE I CAN SEE TRACK FROM...WOW!!!!!!

As far as I can tell, walter whiz lifted those tracks from master tapes of those deep soul 45s and added a drummer to make them "disco".

Very strange record and one of it absolute all time highest rted la records. Couldn't be more than 250 of the ep pressed in my estimation.
i'm guessing it was more like 2 thousand press

it is somewhat similar but I would have to disagree... the key and chords are different. i don't really hear "i can see" once the track starts.. were you hearing it in the piano off the top?

btw... those tracks are crazy! thanks for posting.

Unfortunately I can't find an online clip of the flip, which is the moodier, longer version I always play.
