Senate Intelligence Committee released its report on torture. Found that it doesn't work. None of the cases quoted by the Obama and Bush administration of successful intelligence provided by detainees that were tortured proved to be substantive. Take the case of the two top Al Qaeda operatives captured. One of them gave up important information before he was tortured and the other Khalid Sheikh Mohammed gave up a story claiming that AQ was trying to recruit black muslims in Montana! When this was all coming out during the Bush administration FBI and CIA interrogators said that torture doesn't work. That is not what gets you information it only gets people to say anything to stop the torture. People didn't believe them saying that the country was under a terrorist threat and torture had to work. Well years later we now have an official report that says those people with the most experience questioning people were right after all.
