Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
Blue eyed soul hero who went on to extreme cult-like status with lovers of hip hop and the relatively recent AOR/yacht rock phenomenon. Singer / songwriter Bobby Caldwell grew up in Miami and promptly got singed to the TK records imprint Clouds after cutting the demo for this record. His 1978 self titled debut unveiled his signature blend of buttery smooth adult contemporary R&B. The LP features the often covered classic "What You Won't Do For Love" as well as certified bangers like "My Flame" and "Down for the Third Time". His proceeding records 1980s Cat in the Hat and 1982's Carry On are just as strong. See the track "Open Your Eyes" if you're not familiar.
