I've been fucking wit the Jnero Jarel LP lately. Some definite "heat rocks" on there and the Common "BE" LP" is pretty good.

WHEN WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS THE AVILA BROVAS, MY BOY BUGGED OUT, CAUSE THE AVILA BROVAS ARE FROM THE 909 AND THEY WE'RE ALL HIGH SCHOOL HOMIES. NOW THEY BLOWIN UP. GOTTA SUPPORT THE LOCALS YALL.
Hells yeah. Heavy rotation. Zone is sick. I can listen to that shit for hours and trip over all the little details he laces his tracks with.
Jamie Lidell "Multiply" is my contender for best LP in 2005 so far.
And I can't wait to hear the Jamie Lidell. If his record is anything like his live show - I might have to agree with best LP so far declaration.
As far as hip-hop goes, it's gotta be the B.Sigel album.
My Philly-regional bias is usually in full effect, but that YGs album stinks. I'm getting the feeling that Jay-Z is kind've an idiot as a CEO. What's up with the fucking Swizz Beats overload?
I haven't checked for Bobby Valentino's album or anything but his singles are kinda hot. The jernt with Lil' Wayne is my jawnyjawn.

Gang Gang Dance - God's Money
The second track on the album is killer. There's some middle-eastern sounding vocals that has a chill rhythm in the background that turns into a freakout dance.
V/A - By the Fruits You Shall Know the Roots
Free-folk comp. Yah, the whole revival thing is in full force. This is quite nice though. Most of these songs are 20+ minutes long on 3xLP. Too bad I can't find a copy that doesn't go for $60 dollars.
V/A - DJ Target Presents Aim High Vol.2
I'm not sure if a lot of you listen to grime, but this is pretty solid.

Needs no explaination.
