Nope, but it's catchy. And it's Daft Punk dammit. And it will make people stay up all night.

That track seems too unpolished undeveloped to be the real thing. I call bootleg. I mean, I wouldn't take those vocal tracks, would you?

Had to be an influence for sure. Those are records heads like.

Out now, and as much as I love it, "like the legend of The Phoenix" is a silly ass opening line. I expect that from one of the zanier Project Blowedians, but not Daft Punk.

Also, Mr. Supreme pointed this out on FB:

the lyrics have managed to grow on me. i guess i'd rather hear about the "legend of the poenix" than another song set in a club. (although the chorus alludes to that.)

really want to hear the nile riffs that were hinted at in the pharrell collab video. guess i'll just have to wait till the album drops.

I guess this is where Amerie went wrong.

She should have used songs of this nature, talmbout Griffins, Goblins, Phoenixes(?)... then maybe name-drop upper-echelon legendary beasts like Hydras, Kerberoses and The Abominable Snowman - as a stepping stone to "The destruction of Soddom and Gomorrah by aliens" palaver.

Baby steps, girl.

BTW, I think that Snowman dude gets a rough deal. I mean, he's always saddled with "Abominable". Know who else gets "Abominable"? No-one. It's become exclusive to him. Even on a good day, when dude feels like helping out some Sherpas or such, he's going to get written up later as "Abominable". SMH.

WMIC.

So the previous 'fake' was legit... Funny some of the comments on the blogs how the Phoenix verse was fake and doesn't even sound like Pharrell.

Gotta be honest, I thought it sounded like Benjamin Diamond on the verse and so might have been a demo. Leaking demos being The New Thing and that...

Kind of latte pass?? ... BUT this shit is fire. Good to see these guys nailing the 70s disco sound so well. Psyched for the release.
