Yeah, by '98/'99 onwards the DnB scene+sound was leaving me cold and it was harder and harder to find anything I wanted to buy. There's a couple of singles on Valve from this era Dillinja & Lemon D did that I got, and that was it for a looooong time.

I always liked that one too. Over the weekend my wife asked me why I hoard all of the drum and bass records when I rarely listen to them. I told her that because when I want to listen to them I have a library of them to listen to. She still doesn't get it but I'm keeping them all.

It's funny, huh - you can only really listen to drum and bass/etc by yourself, or with the massive. Other people... not so much.

Yeah. I mainly play jungle during (solo) Mariokart sessions. Mrs Duder finds it far too hectic.

People either love or hate jungle. I grew up listening to industrial breakbeats and then UK hardcore which evolved into jungle and drum and bass. My wife never listened to any of it back then and just does not get into it that much. Maybe I need to play it more and then eventually she'll finally start liking it more.

I am one of those people - I find a lot of jungle to be pretty boring but ragga jungle where it intersects with reggae samples and such makes for some tracks that I can listen to on hard repeat for like days on end.

Ragga has always been my favorite and why I was so happy to pickup that collection I posted about way back in this thread. And I agree that a lot of jungle can be pretty boring. I think that is why I like the older Amen Break stuff. The producers spent a lot more time chopping up and programing the breaks.
