good song! it sounds like something that was used somewhere... but i think it just sounds like that. which is a good sound.

this is the best song off their s/t album, think that bassline has been sampled acouple of times, seem to recall a kurious george track, cant remember the title of it right now though.. also, i used that heart record in this mix here: http://jakobme.dk/?p=81

been picking up quite a few progressive and psych, US and european joints lately, just havent gotten around to posting pics yet.. heres some polish heat:

I remember being excited when I found this (you were actually there with me in Hellig??ndskirken, upskiboo), but ultimately I didn't find the music that interesting. I had to get let it go. Some people seem to be really into it, though. I used the goofy musician mug shots inside the gatefold as my first ever avatar on Soul Strut.

man a james mason for a $1 is awesome!

that detroit jazz composers is at the top of my list (any one got one they want to get rid of?) and some other nice pieces in there too!

love the random NWA in amongst all the rock records too!

I got some nice "finds" lately - admittedly a few eBay/set sale things in here along with stuff from local stores and trades:

Splurged online for the Blossom Toes and Mindbenders, although Blossom Toes was a great price, really kind of a steal since "VG+" ended up being NM- except for one inaudible scuff. The Mindbenders was a total white whale for me, one of the greatest post-beat albums and totally hard to find, never released in the US and even in the UK doesn't seem all that common. Such a great album, includes the original version of Rod Argent's "I Want Her She Wants Me" recorded a year before the Zombies did it themselves on Odessey & Oracle.

These first 2 45's came from the thrift down my block. a stone miracle to find decent garage there!

haha yes that is a Peggy Lee 45, got it the same day at that thrift and it is a version of my favorite Tim Hardin song.

In fact, the flip is "Misty Roses" too, so how could I not drop the 50 cents?

love both sides of the Arthur Adams, great guitar-heavy soul. Chozen Ones:

edit: sorry for the endless scroll - the board won't let me post the 45 pix side-by-side ... ??

That Dust record is so good, still searching for that one myself!

I've given that Stray record a million chances because of the amazing cover and found it not very interesting, and always regret not picking it up (because of the cover). Did you like it?

I heard Marky Mark on the radio driving through Eastern Shore, MD. I thought it was a joke at first, but they played it in full with the utmost seriousness afterwards.
