It's either D.C. or the States. To me the state seems to better represent the people.Best we leave it to state legislatures.

Dude, if you really think that invoking states' rights on this issue is new, novel or "clever," you really need to educate yourself. But then again, it's not exactly surprising coming from somebody who describes himself as "pro-abortion".BTW, i'm a socialist who's intrigued by Ron Paul's message (or Libertarianism in general). So, i'm pro-abortion myself but i thought his solution to this extremely divisive issue (not over here though) was pretty clever.
To me, it's more a conversation about people not being able to handle that not everyone in their own country shares their views to the letter.Give Texas back to Mexico? Sure!

Paging Brian. But there's a significant portion of your society that's fiercely against it.

Come on, man. It's not a simple issue and therefore there is no simple solution.Oh ok! Simple as that? That's not that bad.

That's ridiculous and flippant. How about we let each state vote on the abortion issue but only women can vote.
Sounds fair to me.
how about we allow each state to vote on whether women can vote. but women can't vote in that one.How about we let each state vote on the abortion issue but only women can vote.
Sounds fair to me.
I'm pro-choice (not necessarily pro-abortion)

No. The man is running for president. I have never heard him give an opinion on who should decide, only that the president, congress, and the supreme court shouldn't.He believes it is the business of state governments to decide whether or not a woman has an abortion?
