Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
Debut studio album from the critically acclaimed Scottish electronic duo Boards Of Canada. 1998's Music Has The Right To Children featured heavy use of vintage analogue synths which became all the rage with bands like Tycho and Com Truise a decade later. Their use of hypnotic said synths over hip hop style breakbeats appealed to the blazing downtempo crowd here at Soul Strut, most evident on the track "roygbiv". Boards' 2002 Geogaddi also gets an honorable mention for being another buzzed about electronic album on Soul Strut back in the day.
