Sophmore album from the Britsish IDM duo released on the much hailed UK label Warp Records.  This was the band's most accessible record and a favorite with the blazing downtempo Aphex Twin / Boards of Canada lovers here on Soul Strut. 1994's Amber is ambient, dark, and sometimes melodic as opposed to their later releases which had a more colder, harsher mathematical approach.  Some electronica purists dismiss this album as dated.  Even the band has called it "cheesy".  But for those who "get it", get it.  It becomes an album you can listen to over and over again and find something new. Favorites on here include "Teartear" , "Silverside" , and "Slip."
