Hand picked records important to the history of Soul Strut.
UK's Broadcast took the indie world by storm in the early 00s with their psychedelic brand of modern electro dream pop heavily influenced by 60s groups like United States of America, Free Design, Can, and Silver Apples. The group was anchored by the haunting vocals of Trish Keenan and the mesmerizingly trippy production of bassist James Cargill. Their sophomore album Haha Sound stands out the most for Soul Strutters thanks to its psychedelic throw back sounds with emphasis on hip hop inspired grooves. Tracks like "Man Is Not a Bird", "Pendulum", and "Distorsion" do not disappoint. Unfortunately, Trish Keenan died of complications from the swine flu in 2011 at just 42.
